Roger, Hang on to your hat. There are a ton of people that have installed top boxes here and would be happy to help you.

You basically have to remove the wing from the bike then remove the bottom cover from the wing and drill 4 holes into the wing. The holes are drilled thru the 4 spots that are made to mount a rack to the wing. They are quite obvious. Then take your time and try to follow the givi mounting instructions. They are a little tough to follow but its pretty easy. Took me about half an hour to do it.

Hi,

You can follow this Pictorial of how to install the Givi backrest:

https://www.silverwing600.com/pictorials-how-to-perform-maintenance-f21/givi-passenger-backrest-installation-pictorial-t31.htm

If you go to "Step 10" you will see there are 4 holes that you need to drill out. I drilled out 2 holes for the Givi backrest but you will see 2 more that need to be drilled out for the Givi mount for the case. If you have any problems please get back to me and I will send you the picture with circles around the 4 holes that needed to be drilled out.

Thanks JeffR for the links, and jeffp thanks for the explanation.
I know I can do it now.I have the service manual so taking it apart should not be a problem.
I also have the light kit to wire in,witch I think I will put on with the brake light.
Thank you jeffp and JeffR for your fast response.

I followed Jeff's pictorial thinking, "It must be more difficult than that; where's the catch?" but it isn't and there isn't one!
The hardest part was stopping the spacers falling out whilst putting in the bolts. GIVI mount Icon_wink

I bought a new drill-bit beforehand, just to be on the safe side.
I did the deed on the front lawn very methodically (with pauses) and it took less than 40 minutes IIRC.
