Well thanks to hints, tip and links here I've got the rear wheel out, surprisingly easy really. Jeez the tyre looks square though, almost darkside lol. It explains why it was dancing over white lines I suppose.
The next stage will be putting it all back together.
Any ideas on torque settings?
I've done the "tighter, tighter, bugger" bit and prefer some precision now :-)

When tightening the rear wheel nut, use the handbrake, if correctly adjusted wheel will not move.

New tyre fitted and it's reassembled nicely.
It's not such a huge job after all, just a matter of the a few little jobs in the right sequence. I've had more bother with some regular bikes, the triumph sprint 955 springs to mind :-)

After getting my 03 SW last year and enjoying it over a 250cc Helix Clone, the rear tire was in need of a changing. Straight forward and simple thanks to the tips of fellow riders.

Reg.....Have a look at this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsyncE3VXGM it'll give you a better idea what's needed to remove the rear wheel.  This is Italian but it's all self explanatory.  This guy also has several good videos on working on the Silverwing.

Great post Terrier. I wish I saw that before I started mine. Reg, it really is that easy. The only thing that wasn't shown is the use of the parking brake to hold the wheel while you loosen the big axle nut. Helps to use it as well when you torque it during re-installation. thumbs up
