Mike here up in Anchorage.
So when the rear wheel is off the ground it has play when you roll it forward and back. Like if you apply power or decelerate. I can feel it when I am rolling the tire by hand but don't notice a thing when riding. Sooooo is some thing worn out?

What you hear and feel are the final reduction gears in motion with multiple gears play . A normal thing to hear as long there is gear oil in the casing.

Yes I agree. You have a input shaft a counter gear shaft and a output shaft, all have a little play between the gears. Howard

With the bike on the centerstand try gently turning the rear wheel slightly forward and back and see how much slack is at the tire tread. You can feel when the gears take up slack before they begin to move the belt. There shouldn't be much, maybe a 1/2" or so. Make sure your final drive oil is at the proper level. That's when it drools out the hole a bit when the plug is removed.
