After 9 modern maxi scooters with plastic covers limiting rotation/adjustment of bars, I felt my current SilverWing, bars needed to rotate a little forward, maybe to place me in more comfortable position.

So I took bar covers off....saved for trade in time-----rotated bars, limiting factor is contact of standard mirrors to Givi adj Shield at full lock.

Comfort is improved, noted after all day ride.
Only my TMAX came with comfortable "lean into" bars". Worst Helix----bars simply too high.

Earlier Vespas I had, bars just fine. With covers off, bike is just as ugly as before and I note present Forza has no bar covers.

It's a shame that we can't get that handlebar & key cover piece that eliminates the handlebar cowling --like is available in Europe and similar to that of the Reflex sport model. If that were available here we could reposition the handlebars to our heart's content. Not only that but you would be able to mount all manner of switches & do-dads on the exposed bars.

Hey Tim!

Not heard of these. Do you have a link?

Sorry Steve. I don't have a link for you. I may have seen that cover on the Italian Silverwing forum site or possibly seen it as an accessory on the Webike-Japan site. Good luck. Let us know what you find.

I remember seeing that handlebar key cover thing browsing through a foreign scooter mag, apart from being an expensive cosmetic change designed for the SW-T Silver Wing, it's just a piece of plastic that has no practical use. Thank goodness no one has designed a set of trashy imitation wood dashboard and glovebox covers for the Silver Wing that I've seen fitted to a couple of 400 Burgmans.

If you'd rather have a stainless cover look at more covers here.

Here is a link to all their Silverwing parts.

Was wondering... don't the brake lines limit how much the handle bars can be moved??
