Posting pictures with an ipad

Finally figured out how to post a pic here with my iPad. Hopefully this will work. This is a trial run . Here goes.

That's great, I'm going to have to figure out the photo upload from iPad to forum too. I've just started a topic on the Muppets forum about breadmaking. I'll have to "use my loaf" as the old saying goes.

I will attempt to explain. It's fairly simple once i figured it out. I will assume everyone knows how to post a pic with the regular pc. For those that dont, you will be left behind at this point.
1) in your "post" screen click on the usual link for posting a pic. (The icon farthest to the left in the box with the youtube icon)
2) a "upload your image" screen will appear. Tap choose file
3) choose your desired pic from your ipad’s camera roll
4) tap the "host" button
5) wait for the next screen to appear (around 40 seconds for me)
6) on the new screen three lines will appear. Tap the info in the "image" line
7) another small screen will pop up with your pics info. HOLD your finger on this line until you have the option to "select all".
8 ) tap "select all" then tap "copy"
9) close out the screens you previously opened to find your pics etc. by retapping the icon in step 1
10) tap once on your post screen to get the typing icon blinking. Then hold your finger on the screen till "paste" appears.
11) click on "paste". You've done it

Now that i see this all typed out it looks more complicated than it is. A couple practice runs and you will be a pro at this

Your right the pic was taken last fall on our last run of the season on the swing. I think it was late October and it got freaky warm for a day so the wife and i jumped on the swing and enjoyed most of the ride. We took the long way home due to the beautiful day but as evening came the weather got nasty. Extreme winds and i could see extreme thunderstorms around us. We zigzagged on different highways to avoid the rain and it worked, we only got hit with a couple drops.

Not likely to bother me - I haven't got an iPad, (or an iPhone/smart phone) and have no intention of getting one!

I like my iPad a lot and it's made my cameras mainly redundant. I no longer use my Amazon Kindle preferring the easier to use Kindle app on the iPad where I'm slowly working my way through George RR Martin's Game Of Thrones saga, and if I'm away in Germany or somewhere like last year I can chat to and visually see Mrs M using FaceTime.

As for mobile phones, I don't have the slightest interest in them. I've been using my wife's old iPhone3GS for the last few years. I don't use it when driving and don't have it linked to my helmet Interphone.

I now like the convenience of sat nav, but I had a new TomTom Rider sitting on a shelf at home for about 3 years unused while I still continued to use maps and laminated route cards.

I don't have one of these fancy high tech Panasonic bread machine either, (  Sorry, wrong forum!    )

We have an iPad, iphone and other smartphones for all, and yes even a breadmaker. Not sure if its a panasonic though, only used it once or twice, we find the bread is way too light and fluffy .

Still using a Nokia 3410, when I can remember where I left it, and to take it with me.
Oh, and switch it on!!

The photo is of our 2011 trip around Lake Michigan, Superior and Huron. That was taken in the UP of Michigan.

Practicing. Photo taken off the Cherahola Highway. Not the right photo. Suppose to be a waterfall.

Hotwings, I tried it a third time. Previewed before I sent it still the first photo keeps coming up. Not sure why.

CathyN I apologize! After reading your post this morning i tried to post two pics on the same post. Like you i kept getting the same pic! I was baffled at first but finally figured it out. Seems i forgot a part in step 8. Should have read- tap "select all" then tap "copy". I forgot the tap "copy" part, duuh. I have edited it in the instructions above!

Hotwings,it worked thanks. I tried the waterfall picture and that worked but it was sideways. Not sure how to make it rightside up.

I have been previewing them before posting.

Finally the waterfall.

I had a short video of the waterfall  tried to post that the same way as a photo. Said it wasn't allowed.

I am getting a handle on this posting a picture from my IPad. Thanks again hotwings.

CathyN you probably know this but you should take any ipad pics in landscape mode and not portrait mode. Otherwise the pics will be sideways when posting. Mine were but i used a photo editer to switch em before putting em in my post!

hotwings, how did you post more than one picture. I tried but it didn't work for me. What step am I missing?

I thought of that after I posted. I found one in landscape mode I had taken. I will keep that in mind when posting. Thanks.

"HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM"
Seems i cant post pics with my ipad now. When i do step 6 in the above list the website shuts off and reverts back to my ipad home screen. I recently updated the iPad to version 8.3. Im thinking this could be the problem. Ticks me off.....Apple.....grrrrrr.
Will keep trying and post here if i get it working again.

When i checked preview the pic looked fine. Even after posting it still looked fine. But now it has mysteriously disappeared???

I guess it doesn't work. The pic posts correctly when i hit send and it shows the pic on the site but when i close out my browser and reopen the pic is no longer there!            Bummer, I thought i had it figured out....
All im seeing is a small square box where the pic was supposed to be!

What did you do to make it work this time?

This week i got an iPhone 6. After setting it up I noticed it requested I update to ios 8.3. So without updating i posted the pic here to confirm that the old system works and the new update was the issue with my iPad. The iphone is operating on ios 8.2.1. Needless to say I won't be updating the iphone. Hopefully there will be an update soon to fix the iPads issue!

OK seems like the latest update to my IPad IOS 8.4 is letting me post photos. Now if I can post more than just one. This photo was taken on the Claw of the Dragon in SW Virginia last week. We rode 2100 miles. They have some great roads. Not congested and very scenic. Sweepers, twisty, hairpins they have them all.
