Are there any manufacturers of pull-behind trailers specifically for the Silverwing?

Hi dwOhio,

Welcome to the forum,

A single person, fold away, light weight tent trailer sure would be nice. Quick to set up and strorage room for equipment would be nice.

dwOhio,

Welcome to the site.

Try a web search for Uni-Go trailers. Light, but at a cost. No really, they are expensive.

I contacted Uni-go, but they said they did not have the hitch for the silverwing.

Just bought the Givi Top box, and the needed accessories for it, those were expensive too. I did check the prices for Uni-go, they were high too. Thanks for the responses. We did see a video showing a Silverwing with trailer in tow. Hope to find one that complements the bike.

Sorry about that I didn't realize you were asking about the hitch as well. I should have also included the link Bill is pointing at.

There is also another hitch option that like the Uni-Go is slick but comes with a bit more cost than DennisB's solution. - Joe Wolfe of Kingsport, TN makes a receiver style hitch that is invisible when the receiver is removed. All attachments are under the seat and hidden by the rear fender. As I say very slick, but a bit more cost. I live close enough that I'd consider the Joe Wolfe route, simply because I don't always like the farkles showing on my bikes.

All that said that's my choice. I think DennisB's solution is innovative, functional, and affordable, three very nice attributes for anything you are adding. Dennis has quite a few other farkles that are worth looking at.

Classic Industries (Australia) makes a Silver Wing hitch which is available through DMC Sidecars in Washington State.

A great alternative to the Unigo is the Third Wheel Trailer.

Third Wheel Trailers in action.

The hitch is not a very important problem. Virtually any hitch can be adapted to a standard ball or receiver mount. Unigo even lists that information on their website - as does Third Wheel.

The problem with unigo is...the wheel/tire isn't standard! If you get a flat that can't be plugged,You ain't goin no where! (and I think they're still too heavy for a SW after loaded...)
Check out my buddy George's home made trailer! The wheel can be bought at any walmart! Rim and all!!!
I don't know what thet are sellin em' for,but can get info if wanted! (you could also mount a big plastic box on there! )

I am building a one wheel trailer for my wing, as soon as I finish some side racks for a couple of people. Will send pictures when there is something to see.

Thanks,

Does Joe Wolfe have a web page or a products list of items for the Silverwing? How can he be contacted?

Simply Google Joe Wolfe trailers, I've just done that and there's all sorts of stuff. It's taken me longer to type this than find out about Joe Wolfe trailer hitches and I've no interest in trailers at all.   Neutral
