Hi I've recently bought a 2007 Silverwing and went touring out to Broken Hill NSW and back. A HI from Sydney Australia 20160810

distance of 3000kms. This one was taken on the Hay Plains. As you can  see I was towing a little camper trailer. This folds out and sleeps 2 for the night

Hi Shyted. Welcome to the forum.
That's a great combination by the look of it.
You're not wasting time getting some good use out of it eh?
Enjoy it and keep safe mate.

Hello shyted,

Can I ask if your hitch is mounted to the frame of your Honda, or to the rear suspension arm.

I've seen hitches bolted to the trailing arm only, but I worry that the constant jerky movement would create stresses that a frame mounted hitch will avoid due to far more shock absorbtion.

Some more photos would be great. Oh, and welcome to the forum.

 Thanks for the welcome
In answer to ur question about the towbar, it is mounted to the frame as in like cars.  The mounting points are behind the passenger footpegs and the exhaust mount. There is two stays which mount on the frame near the rear. This came as a kit from Classic Industries in Queensland Australia. If I remember right it was $475 Aus dollarsHI from Sydney Australia 20160910

Sorry, Derrill, forgot to look at the original posting. His belt cover has a round something? Anyone else have the same cover?

Welcome from Illinois, USA, the Land of Lincoln! I was in Sydney for several days as part of a three week tour of the Austrailian east coast about 30 years back. The country made a big impression on me. Riding over it on a SWing would be just about perfect. We look forward to your posts and more photos of the Land Down Under!
