Started recent 5960 mile trip with Michelin power pure SC on rear----tire had about 2-4000 miles left in it,so carried along new replacement tire-----actually Michelin would have lasted whole trip....but had chance to change at ATV shop in western Neb----let them do it...$56 to mount and balance tire ....ATV shops ruff on stuff so chrome cover on muffler got scratched some. Had I done the change myself...The $56 would have bought another new Michelin! New rear is Metzler made in Brazil....So bottom line the SC lasted 11,000 miles and probably could have been stretched to 13,000 or more.....it wore round and performed well to the end.

Returning home, I mounted new front Metzler---both front and rear are now "Feel Free".....no handling problems, maybe front even feels better than OEM Hoop.

I have never had good luck with Hoops on SilverWing/Reflex/Burgman----rear wearing square (=funny handling) front severe cupping-----BUT the front Hoop I took off was Original OEM, on for second time, 28,000 mile total, so it wore well (off for 3,000 miles or so when I scared myself with Pirelli) Funny as Metzler and Pirelli are same company. The Hoop worked fine until the end....and it might have run another 2 or3,000miles safely---but I prefer matched pairs on my bikes.

I use "Ride On" as balance aide and I guess it seals small leaks, too. this last trip was with Burgman 400, using same size tires as SilverWing

Thanks for the feedback!  With 10K on the clock, the day is fast approaching that I will need to change my tires.

While I like my Pirelli Diablo's - maybe I need to switch next go-around - as I rarely get more than 8,000 miles on the rear tire.
