Parking Brake

My service manual does not say how to adjust the parking brake on my 08. Is there a link?

Adjustment of the Brake Lock is under the Maintenance section (3-19 in my manual) of the Service Manual. Basically, if it does not 'hold' within 3 to 6 notches (out of 9 notches) then it is time to adjust it. For adjustment you need to pull the parking brake up one notch - then loosen the 'lock nut' then turn the 'adjust bolt' - but not so tight that the rear wheel does not spin. Don't forget to tighten the 'lock nut' (which is at the pivot point of the brake lever back by the parking brake pad assembly).

I was looking in chapter 16 repair and not under the maintenance chapter.

I'm also pleased , I was also looking in chapter 16 and wondering why there was no adjustment mentioned !!

Do you have any info on changing the parking brake pads?

They appear to be held in by the pad pins and the whole caliper isn't too difficult to remove. The experts will be along shortly to give you chapter and verse !
