I've noticed when I release the throtle that the transmission doesn't disengage. It seems to down shift. The only time it totally releases, is when it slows down to 15 mph. Is this normal for the Silver Wing?

That is transmission/engine braking ... which is very helpful in curves and downhill.

robavi,

You will get used to it and probably be glad that the SWing has good engine-braking. It is great in the twisties and when coming down the mountains, since you don't need to use your brakes much at all. I'm really enjoy having engine-braking and the SWing certainly has more than the Reflex and Majesty I had.

Normal, and a nice surprise.

The engine braking is so good I wonder if we shouldn't wire the brake light to come on when the throttle is closed.
