First topic message reminder :

hi there

has anybody fitted handguards on their Wings?
i like to have handlebar Muffs during the winter to keep the hands dry and warm.
but without something solid the wind pushes them back and makes the brakelights go on and off. confusing for the chap behind Smile
and bytheway thanks for all the very helpful pictorials. great!!
JeffR you deserve a medal.....thank you

shyted, I noticed that the inside of the head of your mirror-extender bolts are beginning to rust.
Mine did the same on my blue Silverwing so I cleaned them out and filled them up with Vaseline.
Works a treat!

Yeah I have to do something about that. It looks ugly on my beautiful machine

shyted, I looked up those handguards, they are barkbuster storms. And appearantly there are three different types.1) aluminum backbone that connects at the end of the handle bars and again up the arm. 2) aluminum backbone that only connects at the end of the handle bar. and, 3) no aluminum handle bar that connects up the handle bar arm but not on the end.

From the pic I can tell this hs an aluminum backbone, but i can't tell if it connects up the arm. Can you tell me if your connects twice to the bar?

I'm thinking of getting some of these, looks pretty flexible.

Here's a link for eveyone:

Just bought some of the ebay hand guards for less than £13. I have cut the bolts and a ferrule to size. But it when I tighten up the bolt it stops the throttle from freely twisting.

Any suggestions?
