Hello all,

I am interested in mounting a TOM TOM 1 sat nav to my bike.

Just wondered what the best fitting options and kits are.

Jamie.

Simplest mount is a Ram Mount that fits to the brake reservoir. I assume you can get an mounting plate for the TomTom 1. I can swap between TomTom Rider II and PDAs with mine.

I'm in Blackpool and you are welcome to pop in and have a look at the setup on my Silverwing. Just PM me with a contact number.

Cheers,

Replacement brake reservoir top is definitely the simplest way to go, get one from Motorcycle Larry. All Honda hydraulic reservoirs seem to have the same top, mine has been on my Pan, Deauville and now the Swing, the only chore is getting the power supply up there !!

Just contact DennisB (on this board) who manufactures a mount that is just about perfect. B

Listen up my good Lancastrian fellows, we'll have none of this Motorcycle Larry talk on here. If it's a sat nav mount you're after, have a look at Dennis' Shop on this forum. Dennis B makes a mount for the Silver Wing, it fits between the handlebars, is simplicity itself to fit, and you'll have no trouble connecting your sat nav to the power socket. I've got my TomTom Rider 1 and a 4" RAM mount fixed to one of Dennis' mounts.

Just saying, there are other alternatives, which may be cheaper as well.

Go to the “ Components > B size ” tab at the left and use your imagination.

Dennis's GPS mount is ideal for me.
I bought a Motorcycle Larry reservoir cover to mount my Ipod.
I didn't realise that the Honda reservoir is longer than 'standard' so initially bought a cover from RAM - it is too short.

HTH any other ignoramuses!
