Just got myself a Silverwing

Hi all,
Picked up a Silverwing, hoping I can use for a little more than just the 12 minute train station commute.
Had a few bikes in the past but this is my first scoot and first bike for 12 years (basically since I got married).
Mine is a 2009 ABS and has just over 30k miles, apparently had the belt changed 3k miles ago. Bought from a Honda dealer.
Funny thing is, the battery went flat after I first filled it up.. not enough or a run and too many starts before a long run. It had been sat in the dealer for a few months - but they came and changed it very quickly so no complaints.
Since then still not had the time to ride it and tomorrow it's forecast 0c, so I'm just going to take the car tomorrow morning still :-)
Roll on the weekend where I might get a chance to take it for a sunny afternoon spin.

Ridden it at last to the train station this morning. Very Light bit of rain, but just with regular business suit and coat got off unscathed, clean and dry. Very happy to have the power to overtake cars on the country roads. Not used to the handling yet, but extra cautious because of damp roads. No rush...

Stevellion, congrats on your SWing. You are right in taking it slow and easy. Plenty to learn on the bike itself. Good info here on just about any topic: use the " Search" feature and if you still don't find what you are looking for, anybody here is more than willing to jump in and point you in the right direction.
