Hi Dale.

Back to the subject of bikes and not people, I absolutely love riding my F6B. For me, it's the best bike I've ever owned. It puts a grin on my face from ear to ear every time I ride it.

As an aside, the riding club I belong to in Winnipeg originally started with 10 members who owned Silverwings. Six of those members have since moved on/back to motorcycles. Those motorcycles include 2 Goldwings, 1 H-D ElectraGlide Classic Ultra (or something like that), 1 Kawasaki Nomad, 1 older BMW 1000cc air/oil head, and 1 Yamaha Stratoliner. All 10 of us still ride together.
And you know which 2 of those are the fastest and quietest of the bunch Razz

Hey Terry,

Sorry I may have crossed a line, not trying to do so mind you.

I do follow (Cyber stalk?) your riding club on occasion, and enjoy the periodic photograph. Y'all do seem to have a good time.

I'll bet that letting go of the clutch and twisting the throttle with abandon is quite a bit of fun on the F6B. I do so enjoy my GL1800. That engine just begs to go faster.

I've developed a little habit of dragging my toes as an early warning device of when my lean is getting close to the pegs. A nice ride of the "Greasy Creek Trail" caused the bride to ask me if we had caught something on the bike on fire, as she could smell rubber burning. It was the rubber coverings on the pucks on the toes of my boots - had been scuffed off at speed.

Just as well that Mike locked me out of a post on safety as this practice might not be considered safe.

Sorry Dale - I'm sure you can see why I locked it. Wink

No harm done, Mike. I absolutely understand why it was locked. I hope the mods are having a good day inspite of us.

Dale, I think you will be now known as "The Lean Machine". Double entendre, pun intended.

It has indeed been an interesting day on the forum.

Terry, Thank you so much for the new moniker. It feels appropriate for me.

I have been working on trimming the fat, from the diet and the waist line. I had an arthroscopic procedure on my right knee for my birthday this summer and have gotten back into an exercise routine. Have managed to leave 24 lbs of my former self on the walking paths around Huntsville.

As you folks up there on the prairie are getting the wheat harvested, the fire wood piled up, and the storm windows installed - you are always welcome to come south for some barely above 40 degree F days. We even have a college and semi-pro hockey team to keep those frosty eyes focused.

Here's hoping the forum abides by the new civility today and that all are enjoying a good day.
