Well I did the breaks. I didnt feel like pulling the muffler so ill do the parking break another time. my pads was severly worn and im glad I took care of it. Funny thing is after I got done i detailed it. After drying it and looks like new. I fired it up pumped the levers to put fluid back into the lines pistons. As Im pumping my rear break lever THANKFULLY I WASHED MY BIKE. Some soapy water was still around the rear break resavior thanks to the soapy water i seen some bubbles only 2 comming from the right side. Low and behold the screw was tight but not tight enough. So uncle blinggy has to bleed his back break. Plenty of break but the lever is a tad soft. Overall a snap to do the job. While i had the calipers off i took rim cleaner and a toothbrush and got out 50 months worth of break dust and dirt thats impossible to get while calipers are busyand to my amazement they still look like new. Ill try and post some photos of my old/new pads. My photos are to big and i have no idea how to reduce them in sorry can i email them to someone and you can resize them for me?

Upload your photos to a site like www.photobucket.com.

Then paste the link to them from photobucket into your post here. It really isn't difficult. Just follow the instructions at photobucket.

I found my scooters, SW and BMW seem to wear the brakes a bit more than my GW or current K1100. I suspect it's because I usually downshift the bike when slowing down but rely on the brakes more in the CVT equipped vehicles. I will say the Burgman gives a lot stronger engine braking, almost too much, I didn't put enough miles on the Burgman 650 to verify brake wear but with it's very strong engine braking it probably doesn't wear the pads and rotors as much. I wonder about the difference between the SW and the BMW. The BMW has three brakes and larger rotors than the SW. There is a bit more weight with the BMW, especially the GT. With basically more pad/rotor area on the BMW I think it might require replacing pads less often. Hard to say yet and I might need brakes more often with the BMW because I ride it a bit harder than I did the SW. Either way both are great bikes and very handy around town.
