Friday it was near 85 degrees (F) in central Arizona.

A friend and I went on a 250+ mile ride to visit some American Legion posts yesterday. We rode in rain, snow, hail and sleet! The temps plummeted and we hit 50 MPH winds. Eh? I was soaked, cold and tired at the end of it but we arrived back safely! Actually the scooter did fine, I was the mess. I am always amazed at how well the Silver Wing does. From 2000 to over 6000 feet, some super slab and lots of state highways and I still got 53 MPG.

A friend suggested I should have taken the Goldwing but I don't think it would have done any better it is heavy and less maneuverable and the Goldwing lacks ABS.

Interesting day for sure and will give us something to talk about for certain!!!

Sounds like a great ride. Today I rode from Catalina to Superior about 180 mile Rt. Chilly above 3800 with breezes but otherwise very nice. The Silverwing impresses me more each ride. And I get 55 mpg!

Excellent! It is good to hear of people actually riding their machines. A lot of people are stuck with lousy weather and can't ride. My scoot usually gets 55 MPG or better but with the winds yesterday I was fortunate to hit 53!  I love you
