| Bob and I are up in Hillsboro, WI at the Blue Highway Motorcycle Lodge. We have been here the last three days. Heading home tomorrow.
The lodge is very nice it has six cottages/cabins with a screened in porch. It also has a fire pit in the back with a gas grill if you choose to grill. The cabin has a micro, frig, coffee maker, galley kitchen. Has a whirlpool tub also. No TV, wifi, or cable but it does have a DVR player with a flat screen. Has a selection of movies you can borrow in the office. Reservations only. This lodge sits on 40 wooded acres.
The roads up here are really nice and scenic among the hills, the farms the Mississippi River, they have sweepers, twisties, strait-a-ways, very very nice. Lots of places to see and explore. It has been a relaxing three days so far. The weather has been really good too.

Didn't see your post till I got home. Had I known we might of tried to include a stop on our ride home today. We have friends who live in Lake Geneva. We stopped at the the Big Shoe Box in Black Earth, WI. That was some store. Also, stopped at Duluth Trading Co. in Mt Horeb, WI. We stopped on the way up too. We had a great trip. One great road after another. The weather was great to. Not to hot, or rainy. I do need to change my brake pads. I am close to 40,000 miles. Bob will change out the fork oil and seals also. And I think we will install the Hyperpro Springs at this time too. Hopefully he can get this all done before Texas next month. |
