Despite my initial reservations, it is pretty handy and nice to have all the relevant Trike threads here in one place.

Kudos to the Moderators and Admin staff for getting the new forum set up so quickly! Smile cheers

Seams to me that before application to the special DS ,and Trike side of this forum is complete. The balance of power will go to the DARKSIDE. The force is strong in the power of the DS. affraid

All I can say is that my wife loves her Silverwing with the Yelvington conversion kit and gets more questions than I ever do when stopped and I have a Goldwing trike!! It is good to have a section for those who either want or need more than two wheels on the ground. By the by, there is a site that caters almost exclusively to trike owners...triketalk dot com.

I generally drive the Goldwing trike but since my wife has to be in the "right mood" to drive her Silverwing, I have been known to take it to work or out for a spin...(just to keep the battery up of course!!!) The folks here call it a mini-Goldwing! Sure is a speedy little devil and easy to back up. I haven't ridden the Swing any farther than about 75 miles at one stretch and the only gripe I have had is that I wish there were some foot pegs to stretch my legs out. The Missus is only 5'3'' so that is not a problem with her but she is talking about a new super wham-o-dyne seat for our anniversary but I think have her talked into trying one of those gel pads. All in all, at my (and our) stages of life, physically, we have determined that three wheels are the best for us...of course, your mileage may differ!

I'm tickled at the number of Silver Wing trikers on this forum. Several more than I originally thought. Perhaps now that we have our own safe-haven, there can be more discussions of trike-specific items.

I love my Silverwing, and as a trike she is wonderful, its just that we had so many issues with first getting the trike kit, and then having to remachine many parts, and then last August a Double sprocket & chain failure..Sad  hopefully she will be back on the road in a few weeks ...The new Trike forum 2012-030

There are many reason why some chose to trike there rides. Lack of 2 wheel experience, and balancing a heavy bike, but most are veteran riders that can no longer ride 2 wheel mc,and still want to keep on riding ( you know what I mean.) My first scooter trike was a Piaggio MP3 250 i ( It was a learning curve) This scoot can stand up right on it's own by a flick of a switch, not having to put your feet down at a stop , but if you don't time it right and activate to soon with your feet on the running boards, you fall like a drunken soldier. Traded for a 09 swing with 3k kl on the clock.I should have owned one when they first came out way back. OK now it's old technology but bullet proof .I still needed to trike my ride my ride. The Yelvington trike was my first choice but at $ 8400.ship to my door plus painting and labour was to high a cost. The Danson kit was $5700.plus shipping $450. still to costly. The Voyager kit $4k $5400 to total cost but small 13" wheel  chromed  ,and steel fenders but good tech support, and plenty of add on accessories for bling . The Insta trike is to wide ,12" trailer wheels ( ware out to fast ,hard to dial in at the time ) then there is the Trigg trike I did a home run ,48" wide, all fibreglass gel coat black fender and cross member ,torsion bar bolts directly at the bottom of shock mount equals no bouncing over pot holes and the steering rack do not need to be change ,It runs true regardless how many times you remove provided you don't remove the belly plate . My choice you guest it the Trigg trike . All of the trike kit are good  .The Swing and the Trigg trike kit works well together .There is a learning curve to installing the belly plate and to modify it and it works for me. cheers and I get no  :bounce:in pot holds :lol!:
