I just bought a used 2002 with 8600mi on it, had to make trip over to ID to purchase because there don't seem to be many FS in my local area. One of the downsides is due to not having trailer ready to haul it I will have to make another trip to pick up. So for now it's sitting in the guys garage, hopefully under a cover. I think I got a good price, but it has some issues too that I want to ask about.

Congrats on your new purchase. Hope all problems are minor ones. I suspect they are... Good luck.

stanly welcome applause Welcome to the best Silverwing site on the web. That is a low mileage Wing. I'm sure you will get many miles of smiles out of your "new" wing. It would be a good idea to put your location in your profile as this post will get lost as time goes by. That way when you need help later we will know if we are close enough to offer help.

Rent a Uhaul motorcycle trailer for the day. The small one with small wheels. I think is about $60. Get some straps, canyon strap and don't forget to strap the rear wheel so it doesn't swing around in curves. Done.
Just towed my baby from TX to WA.

I never got the memo about the rain in WA.... ouch
I heard Oh, Seattle, it rains a lot.
No, no, no ! You are saying it wrong:
- OH MY GOSH, SEATTLE ? IT RAINS NON STOP ! DON'T GO THERE !

Rain in WA is like snow for eskimo.
It rains so much in WA, people talk like they are wet. (what, you got an umbrella).

If you drive on highway in Seattle....are in a W shape from chains. It's like driving your bike through the middle of a miniature "half pipe".
It scared the s*&^t out of me. Don't fight the road, steer with your body and you will be fine... except when you ride next to an 18 wheeler and it will scare the living lights out of you.

Be safe
LN
