Seems I have rode my 2006 Silverwing so much that I have worn down the brake pads, I myself would like to replace them however would like some tips on doing this. Could anyone please help me.

Thanks,

Welcome to the forum.

I have not replaced my brakes yet 32,000 miles, but the one thing I read a while ago was the screw could get "securely fastened" taking some effort to remove. I believe it may have been based on climate, but it may be safer to replace the screw.

I would be curious if anyone has replaced either brakes themselves?

JeffD,

Welcome to the forum. The best tip - get the service manual if you don't already have one. It is quite easy to follow with photos and illustrations.
