Looks nice, can you give more information on the company that makes it and if there is a model for the Swing?

Isn't that just a bog standard Harley top box and back rest or something similar looking?

It is designed for a universal fit i am sure i would need to make some mountain modifications but the cost is $ 140.00 that includes universal mounting brackets rear pad and rack.

imho i would think it may be a little too big and bulky.

bayrat, I have a Givi 470 and it is 13" tall x 16.75" deep x 21.9" wide. The one from T-Motorsports is 11 H x 15 1/2"W x 22"L. I don't think my Givi 470 is to big and bulky, but that's my opinion. Someone else my think otherwise. Hear is a link to a similar one that is a little smaller at 18.9"x16.2"x15.7" for $115. I thought the rack on top might be better for strapping stuff on to
but it is probably to weak anyway.

I think i will go the large rack with backrest way. I need to get a tent and sleeping bag or two on there.

I have one I built for my reflex so I guess it is time to get out the welder.

Here is a picture of the rack I made for my Honda Reflex i will use a different design for my silverwing but I do want a good space to strap stuff.

I did not use the tail wing I felt it was not sturdy enough for my application
so this was more time consuming to build. I will use the tail wing for the silverwing rack

Bayrat, I think drill press is a code word for drill press. Kurt defined it as a large stationary tool to fling pieces of metal all over your shop. It looks like you do good work. I look forward to pictures of your new installation. I could have said that is one big rack, but I don't want to get banned for sexist comments.

Top Box or rack. Different strokes for different folkes.

My needs require that I have something to strap to.

I like to go camping with a tent and sleeping bag and do not do the hotel thing very often. With one person travel and space is no problem but if you add a passenger there goes your seat area for your bag and tent.


Am I the only one that travels this way, or does everyone use the top box and the hotel method.

There is another option - pull your gear behind with a trailer... I'm waiting on the OK weather to cool down so I can get DennisB to make me a hitch for my Harbor Freight Tag-A-Long trailer.

If I had a bigger bike, I might even pull a Mini Mate camper.

Probably been asked before but how does pulling a trailer with the Silver Wing affect your insurance?

Page 6 of the FSC600A/D Owners Handbook states;

Do not pull a trailer or sidecar with your
scooter. This scooter was not designed
for these attachments, and their use can
seriously impair your scooter’s handling.

Same quote appears in the FJS600 variant too.

Whilst sharing concern over pulling a trailer, if I did I'd follow the UK Regulations regarding m/c's towing trailers - size and max weight for bike weight make good sense and prevent riders overdoing it.

not sure if I am ready for the trailer thing yet but time will tell.
