Decent review. I think he had it spot on when he made this comment.
Quote :
In short the Integra is a motorcycle dressed in scooter clothing. I like to think of the designers taking the comfort and ergonomic advantages of a scooter and placing them over the top of a motorcycle chassis. This is exactly what the Integra is, sharing the same frame, engine and suspension as the NC700S motorcycle and wrapping it all up in a scooter fairing.

Journalists are fond of saying the same thing about the 650 Burgman and having owned one for a couple of years I'd disagree with them. The latest issue of the German mag "MOTORETTA" has an article on the Honda Integra and they've put already put 3500km on theirs. I can't be botherd to pick my way through the article but they've given it more Plus marks than Minuses.

I looked at a new white Integra in a Honda showroom near Mühlhausen just over a week ago when I was over in Germany, and it looks a lot prettier than in magazine photos, but I didn't spot one parked up anywhere, or out on the road.

The writer points out something that isn't true about the B650. The engine, frame and suspension on the Integra is shared with the other two "motorcycle" variants the NC700S and the NC700X (with some modification). So it really is a motorcycle with the bodywork of a scooter.

Stuff written in Motoretta mag is usually pretty good as they actually ride the scooters and work on them, themselves----not like us magazines that do a around the block-----I still keep a copy of their 2007 test of a Vespa and pictures of what happens to it after 6,000 km of use including winter salt.---saves me money everytime I think about a new Vespa!

Not much interest in new Honda from me---unless wind management is perfect and wheels come off easy.

Honda did offer the NC700T here in the US , not sure if they still do or just offering unsold leftovers.

List was (is ?) a rather pricey $12k

They probably can't get the price point on the Integra low enough

to make it feasible to sell it over here, especially with the DCT

But the US Honda site lists the NC700X DCT as $8999? http://powersports.honda.com/2012/nc700x/options.aspx (if you add all the possible accessories, I'm pretty sure you end up with about $12k)

If it is regarding the integra for which a link has been provided here, just as I visited the website and took a look, I got stunned by the appearance and design of the bike. But just as I saw the quote written just below the provided link, I got confused mostly because of this-
Quote :

.

Either I have seen the wrong picture or else Integra is not a bike in the form of a scooter. Please guide me if I am wrong.

No, I think you have the correct impression...it is just a matter of semantics.

Scooters like the Silverwing have this nice protective fairing and windshield. It makes the Silverwing a much better alternative for touring...just look at the Goldwing, which is a Silverwing wannabe. Wink

What they've done, is take a motorcycle and designed it to fit a scooter like body over it. Especially since the other two derivatives use the same frame and engine...and they are sold as motorcycles.

In many respects, it is the best of both worlds...or perhaps a better way of phrasing it is, it is the best compromise of both worlds.
