Mr Administrator:
How do I pull a statement from another post and show it in the post I am going to make and have it stand out in the blue font and background that I see. A simple cut and paste makes it look like standard font for me. Thanks for your help.

In the example above you will see I replaced the "o" with a "&" in the word "quote" both in the opening and closing tags (the ones with the [ ] around them are tags.) Doing this stopped the board software from turning it into a quote so you can see the syntax.

You see the opening tag="Name of the poster", and the close tag at the end. You can add this syntax manually around a cut and pasted copy if you prefer.

If you need to quote multiple people from different posts, you can also hit quote on one of their posts and their quote will come up with syntax in your "post a reply" window. Copy and paste that into notepad. Then delete that and go to the next person you want to quote. Repeat the process. When you are done, you will have all the quotes you want to use, with their syntax, in your notepad.
Choose where you want your post to go, and open a "post a reply" window under that topic.
Then select all on your notepad, copy and paste everything on your notepad into your "Post a Reply" window. You can then insert your comments between quotes or at the end of everything you quoted. Preview it to see if it works correctly and edit as necessary, and then send.

Your notepad might look like this:

[qu&te="DickO"]quote 1[/qu&te]
[qu&te="DickP"]quote 2[/qu&te]
[qu&te="DickQ"]quote 3[/qu&te]
[qu&te="DickR"]quote 4[/qu&te]

And will show up in your post like this:

You an also nest quotes as follows:

[qu&te="MikeO"][qu&te="DickO"]This is DickO's post[/qu&te]
This is MikeO's post[/qu&te]

[open tag=first poster's name][open tag=nested poster's name][/close nested poster] [/close first poster]
A nested post looks like this:

If you want to quote multiple posts click the "Multi-Quote" (which will then turn pink) on the posts that you want to quote from.

Then click on "Post reply" button up top.

You can then follow the other tips above to either reduce or breakup the quotes.

I have never seen the multiquote button before.
Did you just add that, or am I going blind?
