I have cruiserboards on my bike. Check my album link in my sig.
There has never been a tutorial on how to install them, however.
So it is possible, but you'll have to experiment to see how you
want to install yours.

Dan,
I think that royr is looking for full foot boards for the pillion, not the little pegs that come with the SWing. I, too, would like to be pointed to something like that.

Hmmm. well one thing I would note is that the integrated passenger pegs are probably at the right position in terms of the strength of holding a passenger, so I would look to replace something at that location.
My old switchblade pegs flolded up, but also had the heel rest, which might be a compromise between foldability and support.

I'd love to find out where the guy who this dealer on ebay got the bike from found pillion floorboards. Just look at some of the pictures, in particular numbers 10, 18,19, 22, & 23. By clicking on the "View all photos" button at the first big picture, you can see them larger. They look like cruiser style running boards over the stock pegs.
Sure like to know where he got them from. Question

Maybe a little warning.

Watch out for altering things.

When you soon or later need your foot/leg on the ground for holding the bike (while driving on a dirt road i.e.) and ..the foot pegs can't fold in ?

Guy's, I cant see any problem with mounting a heavey 1 1/4" steal tube (or solid) adapter (for adjustment, up & down) using the stock mounting holes on the Silverwing. With the tube mount you could adjust to you passengers needs and buy a cool looking set of Kurakyn foot pegs or floor boards to mount on the 1 1/4" tubes.

Dennis is right.
The floorboards, cruiserboards and pegs from Kuryakyn all fold up too.

I am pretty sure , the Honda engineers thought about that .

Foot boards are more comfort for the passenger.
They choose for the pegs we know.
Can fold in to the rear.
So in case the scooter moves forward against the leg, it won't harm.

I don't think the Honda engineers are stupid.

The Ebay listing has an "ask the customer a question" button. Use it.

I'm not sure I know what you are referring to. We are here talking of passenger footboards, not rider ones. The passenger doesn't need to hold the bike up, the rider does that. As for them folding in from the engineers' decision, I can't see why it should interfere with the rider's leg anymore than a Suzuki Burgman or Yamaha Majesty's floorboards would.

I am talking about danger for the SW driver when there are boards (platform) mounted on the passengers footrests.
Can't speak for the Suz or Yam.

Fold the footrests out and take a seat on your SW.
Imagine a self made board on top of the footrest.
When your feet are on the ground , your legs are a few inches from that board.
Imagine a bad balance during a speed of 2 ..10 mph.
I a reaction you will put a foot on the ground for holding the SW straight.
Your foot can't move forward because the weight of the bike, but the bike don't stop that fast, even you are using the brakes.

I don't want use the idea of passenger floorboards.
It's my opinion.

But please try the above and think about it.
