Here is my GPS solution.

Device is Garmin 2820

Bracket that attaches to handlebar cover is custom. Similar to what DennisB offers

Mount is by "Tech Mounts"

Nice install. You have the newer version of my SP2610. I tried mounting there and like that center position but found I had to take my eyes off the road and was frustrated that it blocked the gauges and lights. I fabed a bracket that mounts to the brake bolts and now it is back on my left side. New in 1996 ($999) this unit performs great at 15 years old! If you haven't found it yet here is a website with some good info.

Thanks for the feedback.

I aligned mine so the indicator lights is just above the top of the GPS.

I rarely look at the GPS, and rely on the voice prompts.

If you decide to relocate yours, I will be happy to share all the info.
