Antifreeze the good good and IF of it.

It's time again for my ride to have the antifreeze and brake fluid changed so I picked up the new Prestone concentrate, all vehicles makes models and years.
10 year 300,000 mile guarantee call it 18.00 bucks or 9.00 a gallon when diluted 50/50. A little catch phrase here, Recommended intervals per owners manual. Compatible with OAT, POAT, HOAT and IAT. For me this no doubt will be it's last change the next up to another owner.

I managed to create an air lock last time I did a coolant change and had a 'boil-over', luckily without any damage.

Is there a method for ensuring that air doesn't trapped in the system when refilling?

Mine was not to add the full amount and run the engine until the bars increased, shut down cool down top off repeat and fill the reservoir if needed. I do the same on my car, truck and tractor.

Thanks for that. I'm planning on doing a coolant change soon and might replace the thermostat while I'm there. I think my SW takes a bit too long to get heated up.

Remember it's both water and air cooled The time is varies on anything, my truck compared to the suv takes longer but both are in spec temp wise.
