| Hi, keep casting my eye back to these.
Great looking, great price, so much lighter than the silverwing but no foot forward riding. |

Great looking, great price, so much lighter than the silverwing but no foot forward riding. You're probably already aware there's a shed load of used Kawasaki J300’s on Autotrader. As you're over in the North West if you're looking for a lightweight 300 for feet forward riding, how about a SYM Cruisym 300 from www.whateverwheels.co.uk in Blackburn. Lancastrian Old Limey from Bolton bought a Cruisym couple of years ago before he rode off into the sunset from here, and he's mentioned a few times it's made riding his Silver Wing pretty much redundant. |

| Surprise Meldrew! I do visit this site from time to time. You are correct about me prefering the Cruisym 300 to my Silverwing 600 (i still have it). I have now done 27,000k since i bought it two years and four months ago. One reason for buying one was the feet forward riding position which was much better than anything else i could find. Moto GB, the importers, are not the best dealers when it comes to talking to them, but, as i do my own servicing it is not a problem for me. I have gone through two sets of tyres and changed the belt as well as the normal oil changes. I average 95 M.P.G.. I think the Kawasaki is a badged Kymco. I bought mine from Rochdale GB but Bolton GB have, or had them in stock. |

| Well I'll go to the foot of our stairs! Welcome back mate, it's nice having you on here again. I still haven’t seen a SYM Cruisym 300 on Yorkshire's roads or in any of the dealers showrooms that handle the MotoGB brands. I have seen them for sale in Robinsons of Rochdale, but it's not really that practical for me trailing back and forward over the M62 to there or any of the other Lancashire SYM dealerships I had many years of that with various bikes and scooters I bought from outside of Cumbria before I retired. |

| I am still around, usually at Southport on Wednesdays and Glasson Dock most Sundays. I have never seen another Cruisym300 on the road or at my stops. Iam really impressed with this scooter, it feels like a smaller version of the Silvering, only half the weight.I have seen the Forsa but think I made the right choice. I don't know if I told you what happened with the Silvering to put me off it. Last year I was at Glasson Dock and the Silvering would not start. On checking the main fuse I found the starter relay had literally fried, the whole wiring had melted.Ihave breakdown cover and got home.Igot an auto electrician to fit a new starter relay I bought and he rewired it, but he could not do a diagnostic check on it. It does start and run and I have been on a couple of short runs, I just do not trust the bike anymore, my plan is to have the Honda dealer do a diagnostic check, but , because I have the Cruisym, ihave not arranged it yet. |

| I think the starter relay must be a known problem. I bought my 64 plate Swing in August 2015. It only had 463 miles on the clock and still under warranty. In the October I got a letter from Honda informing me that there was a recall for the starter relay and to take it to my local dealer to have it replaced under warranty. I believe the same relay was used on a number of other Honda models. |

| Thanks for that terrier, I thought I had done something to cause it to melt. My Wing was bought in 2014, but I have 43,000mls on it. |
