Hi from SE GA

Hi everyone,

New biker here. My husband has a Honda Gold Wing and I used to ride with him. With advancing age and arthritis, it was becoming difficult to get on and off the bike ... so I got my own so I could still go riding with him. Was searching for a trike and found a Honda Silver Wing with the trike attachment. It was the perfect size for me and had everything I needed ... ABS, automatic and not so loud ... lol.

We live in SE Georgia and can ride pretty much all year long. I found this site when Googling info on a problem I was having with my bike. Decided to join and try to learn all I can about my bike ... and maybe meet others who enjoy riding.

When I get better at riding, we plan to travel on longer trips to the mountains and do some mini-vacationing.

Hi Bonnie, welcome to the best Silver Wing forum (or any forum). You have made a great choice by getting a Silver Wing. You can find anything by using the search or just asking a question. Our group has all the Silver Wing knowledge you could ask for and are happy to share.

Welcome! I was wondering the same about the trike conversion. My wifes is being made as I type. Hope it gets finished soon and ships then gets installed. She wants to ride!

I LIVE IN SE GA!! In Folkston, about as SE GA as you can get! You are 2 hours north of me. But then again, as we know, Georgia is the largest state east of the Mississippi, so "southeast" is a pretty big place.

Welcome from Minnesota. I also have a SWing trike. It has the Motor Trike GT3 kit on it. I had it converted over this winter and really like it. Mine is an 08 with about 30,000 miles on it.

Doing an edit here 8-10-18 at 11pm. It just clicked over 31,000 miles. I also checked the speedo for accuracy and found out that at 60 mph I'm doing a mile in 62 seconds which leads me to believe I was doing 58 which isn't bad.

Welcome! Lots of good info on here to help with your scoot. Pay close attention to the pictorial maintenance done by JeffR. They are awesome if you (or your hubby) do your own maintenance!
